DANCE IMAGES:
These images are from a video piece that I did while at CalArts. Diagonal strips of blue
leotard were glued to the nude dancers so that the male and female dancers would together
make a single body. There were two camera (one for the male dancer and one for the female)
and the result was composited (chroma-keyed) together in real-time. The dancers could see
themselves on monitors and they would try to move as one.
My big regret on this was that the dancers saw themselves non-mirrored (i.e. reversed) and
so when they moved left the image would move right. This made it difficult for them to
sychronize. I had constructed some large hanging mirrors to reflect the monitor images
to the dancers but I had to abandon this idea when I suddenly ran out of time.
